Too often people only read the Bible with a self-centered mindset. People will promptly dive into Scripture to gain something for themselves with only selfish ambitions, rather than a Kingdom mindset. Too often when reading the Word of God, we only care about the parts that benefit us in the now, rather than the full picture of the Full Gospel that is shown from Genesis to Revelation. Our purpose each time we read the Word of God ought to be to learn about the Author, and to continually cultivate an intimate relationship with the Word of God as it transforms us each time we read it, study it, and meditate upon it.

What is Your Reality?
I’d like to ask you this question, what is your reality as a Christian? For many people when they were evangelized they might have just been told, pray the sinner’s prayer, and you will live a happy life and make it to Heaven when you die. Anyone who honestly looks at the New Testament will find no such mention of a sinner’s prayer, this does not mean that everyone who has prayed that prayer isn’t genuinely saved. However, this type of evangelism more often than not puts people on a foundation of sinking sand.
Salvation is when one is convicted of sin, repents, and believes in the finished work of Christ for the redemption of sin and everything tied to the old nature that we inherited from the first man Adam. We cannot in our own strength gain right standing with God, it is only through the finished work of Christ.
Now when you are truly born again does that mean that you get to do as you please and you will still make it to Heaven? No, you cannot say that you have had an encounter with God and still remain unchanged. Being Born Again is having an encounter with God when His Spirit convicts you of your sin, and then come into your spirit man and makes you a New Creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Jesus even said in Matthew 3:8 (NKJV), “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,”. Additionally, the Apostle Paul in Philippians 2:12 tells us, “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;”.When we are genuinely Born Again there are fruits as a result of God’s work in our lives. Some people’s process of sanctification might be slower or faster than some. However, one thing remains true for those who are Born Again, “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” (Philippians 1:6).
Often in the church, many people get stuck in the rut of believing that if they sin they just need to repent and try harder. While it is true we must continue in a desire to live holy and sanctified we must also come to the realization that we are New Creations in Christ Jesus, and that old things have passed away and all things are new.
If you are struggling today with sin in your life, and have already placed your faith and trust in Christ, then I’d like to ask you what is your reality? Is your reality just “I am saved and I just have to deal with this bad sinful habit in my life and try harder”. Or is your mindset renewed and set on the fact that you are made new in your spirit man? 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”. We need to realize mankind is a tri-being. We have a spirit and a soul in our bodies. Our spirit is what is transformed the moment we are born again, and it is our soul or mind, will, and emotions that need transformed by the Word of God, and let dominate in our bodies.
Colossians 3:3 (NKJV) says, “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”. When we are born again, we enter through Christ’s death and come out resurrected in our spirit man. Our old nature is dead, it is crucified, but too often because of watered-down preaching many don’t come to the revelation of this. It is time to come to the revelation of in Christ your old life is dead, that nature you inherited from the first man Adam is dead, and you have a new nature planted inside of you and it is time to cultivate that seed and let it grow. Yes, there will be times it is painful, even when we grow up as children to adults there are growing pains and puberty. Don’t rush the growth process, trust the Lord and yield to His work in your life!
Our confession as believers shouldn’t be “I am saved, and just need to try harder not to sin”, our confessions should be “I am saved, and I have the righteousness of Christ, sin is dead in my life, I walk in righteousness by the power of Christ and will glorify the Lord in every area of my life.”. We need to start believing right about who we are in Christ, rather than accept the devil’s lies of defeat. The devil will do everything in his power to throw your past at you and trap you back up in your old nature, but when you live in the revelation that you are made new as a born-again person you will see change!
Confidence in Him
1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV) tells us, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”. This is such a powerful verse right here! As believers, we have confidence in Him. The word confidence means an attitude of openness that comes from freedom and lack of fear. Look at the verse like this, and now I am paraphrasing with the definition, “Now this is the attitude we have in Him, an openness that comes from freedom and lack of fear, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions we have asked of Him.”.
We are to have faith in God in all circumstances. Faith is not hoping something will happen, faith is knowing God’s Word is so and living it out. Galatians 2:20 (ESV) tells us, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”. As Christians, we have been crucified with Christ, and we have been resurrected with Him to newness of life! We must remember it is our spirit-man that gets born again, our soul goes through a process of being transformed to the Word of God, and our flesh will be fully made new one day. However, our entire Christian walk is a life that is a walk of faith. We don’t walk how the world walks, we walk the walk of faith.
Hebrews 11:1 (ESV), defines faith, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”. We may not see what we are declaring by faith, but we walk by faith because God keeps His promises in His Word. You might be praying for healing over someone and it may not manifest right away in their flesh, but in their spirit being they are already healed. It doesn’t matter how long it takes for healing to manifest in the flesh because the Bible says “by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). We are not going to be healed, we have been healed. Healing was completed 2,000 years ago through the work of Jesus Christ. Continue believing God’s Word like it is so, and your symptoms will come into alignment.
Hold Fast to the Word of God
According to the Oxford dictionary, hold fast means to remain tightly secured. Are you tightly secured to the Word of God in your daily life? Philippians 2:14-16 (NKJV) tells us, “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.”.
Too often in today’s world, we can get caught up with the flow of complaining or walking in hate, rather than focusing on God. The people of this world will focus on the problems of life, rather than focusing on the Solution which is a life totally submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. If we are a born-again believer, then we have no right to complain about your present circumstances, instead, we need to speak life to our circumstances according to the Will of God. How do you know what the Will of God is? By reading His Word! When you speak the Word of God into your life or the life of others with full unwavering faith you can expect things to change.
We need to hold fast to the Word of Life if we want to speak life into our lives and the lives of others. You cannot hold fast to the Word of Life by just going to church once or twice a week, there needs to be daily feeding upon the Word! When you speak God’s Word into your life or someone else’s it is not for your own personal gain but, it is to rather glorify God and expand the Kingdom of God. Jesus told us in Mark 11:23 (AMP), “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].”. When we act in unwavering faith, we have the ability to change our circumstances only by the Power of God operating in our lives.
Romans 8:9 (AMP) tells us, “However, you are not [living] in the flesh [controlled by the sinful nature] but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God lives in you [directing and guiding you]. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him [and is not a child of God].”. We have the Spirit of the Living God inside of us, the God who does not change. When God created the Heavens and the Earth, everything was created by the words He spoke. When He created mankind, He spoke life into existence. It is only by us having the Spirit of God inside of us that we have the authority to speak life. It is only by us having the Spirit of God inside of us that we have the authority to speak His Will (healing, deliverance, and Salvation) into our lives and the lives of others. It is only by us having the Spirit of God inside of us that we can have the faith it takes to move mountains.
When we operate in the authority that He gave us as believers we do it to glorify Him and to expand the Kingdom. Too often this type of message gets out of balance and people become very self-centered, this is why everything we do must be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14 (AMP) tells us, “Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us]”. How do you know if you are walking in love? Read what Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (AMP) “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”. If how one operates in the authority of the believer is not done in love, then they have gotten out of balance and are not being led by the Spirit of God.
If the church wants to see revival, then we need to first hold fast to the Word of God. Revival will only come when the church knows who they are in Christ. Revival will only come when the church knows the authority she has and acts upon it. Most importantly we must have a revival that is led by the Spirit of God, rather than by carnality.
Childlike Faith
Why does Jesus say that we must have faith like a child to enter into the Kingdom of God? Do we really know as believers what it means to truly act in childlike faith? The subject of faith is so critical in the Christian walk, you cannot even receive Salvation of sins without faith! We must not only understand the subject of faith, but we must act according to our faith as founded upon Scripture.
Religion vs. Kingdom of God
Too many people today rely on head knowledge of God’s Word and mental ascent. Many people think that great faith is just agreeing mentally with the Word of God or reading a bunch of commentaries. We really need to get back to what the Bible says about faith, rather than going along with the man-made religious system of the world. There is a difference between the Kingdom of God and religion. Jesus was against religion, but yet today we cannot let go of traditions in the average church. Jesus did not come to preach a religious system; He came and preached the Kingdom of God!
Childlike Faith Defined
Jesus said in Matthew 18:3 (AMP), “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent [that is, change your inner self—your old way of thinking, live changed lives] and become like children [trusting, humble, and forgiving], you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”. Jesus also stated this in Luke 18:17 (AMP), “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God [with faith and humility] like a child will not enter it at all.”.
Childlike faith is first founded upon repentance, which is a result of when the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin. We must have godly sorrow when we repent. Godly sorrow always results in a desire to change, when this happens, we humble ourselves and we place our trust in Jesus Christ. Childlike faith is a place of humility, it is a place of the believer realizing their total dependence on Jesus Christ. Too many people take pride in themselves, and never truly enter into a place of childlike faith.
Childlike faith also means placing our complete trust in Jesus Christ. John 1:14 (AMP) tells us, “And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception).”. Jesus is the logos, the Word of God. We are to place our trust in the Word of God. Our actions should bear the fruit of us trusting in God’s Word.
Our Inheritance as Citizens
I would like to quote what Jesus said in Matthew 18:3 from the Youngs Literal Translation, “Verily I say to you, if ye may not be turned and become as the children, ye may not enter into the reign of the heavens;”. We do not enter into the Kingdom of God after we die and go to Heaven, we enter into the Kingdom of God the moment we become born again. I have talked about how the believer has authority through the name of Jesus Christ, and how we are seated with Christ in Heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). When we enter into the Kingdom of God, we must yield to the teaching of the Holy Spirit so that we can come to the knowledge of who we are in Christ Jesus and the authority we have inherited. We are called to be ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, going about doing God’s business on the earth either until we have lived out our length of days or until the Second Coming.
We must enter into the Kingdom of God fully surrendered with childlike faith. We need to be teachable under the teaching of the Holy Spirit and under the teaching of those who God has called and anointed to minister His Word. We must make it a lifestyle of getting into the Word of God daily and meditating upon the Scriptures so that we can come to the knowledge of who we are as citizens of the Kingdom of God.
Knowing God
I want to talk about how one truly knows God. This teaching is something that I myself must be reminded of, I am far from perfect. Many people claim to know God simply because they go to church or have read so many books. Now both of those have their place in the Christian walk. But I want to ask you a question. Have you ever had an encounter with God? Now I am not talking about something that is completely birthed out of emotions and enthusiasm, while emotions and enthusiasm can be a result of encountering God, we must know that we do not live according to what we feel or see (2 Corinthians 5:7, Romans 8:12, Proverbs 28:26, and Proverbs 12:15).
In many of my teachings, I have talked about how the Christian must have an intimate relationship with the Father. We can spend all the time we want reading books from other people who knew God, but still never have a genuine encounter with God. You can spend all the time and money you want obtaining all the seminary degrees you want, and still never have an encounter with God. Now let me be clear I believe God has ordained people to write books for His Glory, and seminary has its place. However, there is a whole other aspect of the Christian walk that is tragically neglected and that is knowing God by having a genuine encounter with Him.Sadly, most people who profess to be Christian have had more of an encounter with religion than an encounter with God. Most people do not realize this but when you get born again and receive the new nature inside of you(2 Corinthians 5:17), the Kingdom of God is birthed inside of you. You see the Kingdom of God is not something that is far away from us, it is within us as new creations in Christ Jesus. Jesus answered the Pharisees in Luke 17:20-21 (ESV), “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.””.
This is why it is so vital we learn to be led by our new nature, rather than being led by the desires of the flesh. So many believers have never come to the knowledge of who they are through Jesus Christ. We need to get to the place where we get into the Presence of God daily and let Him teach us. When Jesus promised the Holy Spirit, He said the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth (John 16:13). We should not have to rely on Study Bibles and Commentaries to teach us, we have everything we need to grow in godliness within our new nature. Study Bibles and Commentaries have their place, but we need to know God based on an intimate relationship with Him and leaning on His Spirit to teach us and reveal things to us from the Word of God. 2 Peter 2:18 (ESV) says, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”.
So many people only want to give God fifteen or thirty minutes a day, just so they can put a checkmark on their Bible reading plan. Now there is nothing wrong with having a consistent devotion time. But I want to challenge all of us, myself included, let us get some alone time with the Father and wait on Him. I mean truly wait on Him, whether it be one hour or longer, wait on Him. We need to cry out to Him daily to know Him more. We need to saturate in the Presence of God daily. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:6 (ESV), ““And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”. This will play a vital role in us putting away the things of the flesh. When you encounter God, the sin that is in your life will become so clearly known to you. Now, this is not meant to hurt you, this is meant to help you grow in godliness because we are to walk after the things of our new nature, and not the things that passed away from our spiritually dead old man. Additionally, when you are in the presence of God, you will have joy that is unspeakable, a type of joy that this world cannot simply give you. Psalm 16:11 (ESV) tells us, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”.
We need to be men and women of God who have the mark of God placed upon our lives. This is only something that can happen when one truly gets into the Presence of God and waits patiently on God day and night. James 4:8 (ESV) tells us, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”. Let this be the year that believers are not marked by their fleshly abilities but become people who have the mark of God upon their life and when you come in contact with unbelievers they will be able to smell the aroma of the Kingdom of God upon you and will want to know what it is you have that they so desperately need.
Great News
I am excited to announce I have published my first book. You can order your copy on Amazon today! It is also available for Kindle. This is the first of several books I plan on publishing. If you are able to please share this book with others. It would also make a great gift in an Easter basket!
Did Mary Know?

This week we will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Many people favor Christmas for many reasons such as gifts, decorations, lights, food, and parties. Often when we get so busy with a hectic schedule, we can forget the true meaning of Christmas which is the birth of Jesus Christ. We all have heard through teachings of the Bible the many great things Jesus Christ did while on Earth. The things Jesus Christ did while on earth, I believe could not be imagined by anyone. Even when an angel sent from the Lord came to Mary and informed her that she would give birth to the Son of God, Mary could not possibly imagine how many things Jesus would do while on Earth.
Luke 1:30-35 says, “And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom, there will be no end.”And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be since I am a virgin?” And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.”. One of my favorite Christmas songs is Mary Did You Know by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene, talks about the many great things Jesus Christ accomplished. Here is a list of the many great things Jesus Christ did:
- We are saved through Jesus Christ, He is the only one who can free us of sin. By accepting Him as your Lord and savior, you gain eternal life. John 3:16-17 says, ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”.
- He is also our deliverer from sin, sickness, and evil spirits. Luke 10:17 says, “The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!””. Also, Romans 10:13 says, “For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.””.
- He is also our healer. In the song ‘Mary Did You Know’ it refers to when Jesus healed a blind man. We know God’s promise in Isaiah 53:5, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed.”. When the enemy attacks your body with sickness you need to rebuke whatever sickness it might be with the many healing scriptures that you can find in the Bible. You must take authority over the sickness and speak to the sickness about what is written in Isaiah 53:5.
- The song also refers to when Jesus calmed a storm. Although in this scripture this was a natural storm that can be detected by today’s radar technology, Jesus can still calm the storm in your life today. Even though your storm can’t be measured by a device, Jesus can still calm it and clear a path for you. Whether this is a financial storm, an illness, or an issue with a relationship, Jesus can still calm the storm. We must trust in the Son of God. Mark 4:39 says, “And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”. Also, Nahum 1:7 says, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.”.
- We also know Jesus came from heaven, and that Jesus and God are one. Matthew 28:18 says, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”. Furthermore John 10:28-30 says, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”. The scripture of John 10 also confirms that Jesus gives us eternal life.
- The song also talks about Jesus being the Lamb of God and the ‘Lord of all creation’. John 1:29 says, “ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”. Additionally, Colossians 1:15-20 says, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him, all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.”
- We also know that Jesus is the ruler of the nations. Psalm 22:28 says, “For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations.”. We also know that He is the ‘Great I Am’, this is written in Exodus 3:14 which says, “And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”.
Any mother being told she is going to give birth cannot begin to imagine what their child will accomplish in their life, or what they will become. The items I have listed are many of the parts of God’s great gift to us all, and that is Jesus Christ. No one can put a price tag on Jesus Christ! Jesus is our healer, savior, and deliverer. His salvation to us, healing, and deliverance are still available to us all today through the power of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 13:14 says, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”. Also, John 14:26 says, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”.
As you celebrate Christmas this week, do not become too occupied that you forget the true meaning of Christmas which is Jesus Christ. If you haven’t already, turn to Him for your salvation. Don’t forget when you are in need turn to Him according to His promises in His Word.
Let’s Keep Christ in Christmas!
Salvation: You Will Find Pasture
I previously posted about the importance of salvation or of being born again. In this post I discussed the sinner’s prayer, which is important for everyone to go through to be born again. I would like to revisit the topic of salvation in this post, while mainly staying in one part of the Bible, John Chapter 10.
To give a little background in John Chapter 10, the setting is with Jesus not being fully accepted as the Son of God by the people. You will see in John 10:20-21 “20 Many of them said, “He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?”21 But others said, “These are not the sayings of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?””. So, in this part of the book of John, Jesus is going through conflict with the Jewish people, they are divided. One group believes that he is the Son of God, and those who believe he is not.
If you believe like I do, I do believe Jesus is the Son of God, and was sent to free us of sin. Those who believe in him are not condemned, but those who do not believe in him are condemned already because they have not believed in him and/or do not accept him. Jesus says to them in John 10:9-10, “9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” This shows that whoever goes to Jesus and accepts him as savior, is saved and will benefit. Being saved by accepting Jesus into your heart is not something that considers you as ‘religious’ as many people of the world will put it. Accepting Jesus as your savior means that you have a relationship with the Lord. Which will be different from person to person. You will still sin, after accepting Jesus as your savior. No one is perfect, but by accepting him you ask him to come into your life and make you better for his will in your life. It is important to regularly confess your sins in prayer because you never know when life will end.
There are many benefits to being saved or born again. So many people are closed minded to this or just won’t accept this. While being born again does not mean you will have a problem free life. Read Romans Chapter 8, God has plans for you not against you. Sometimes you will go through an obstacle in life, whether it be a job loss, health issue, etc. This may be God using this situation and your strong faith to bring someone else into salvation. Someone you are close to, might not be saved or born again. But if they see you go through are hard time, and you get through by faith. This may lead them to question you about your faith and how you made it through. This will give a golden opportunity to bring someone else to know Jesus as their savior.
In John 10:26-30: “but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”” Those who accept Jesus as their savior will have ever lasting life. Also, the followers of Jesus must unite together and work together to spread the word. I will leave the link below on my previous post if you’d like to learn more about the sinner’s prayer.

My Shadow
Through the day and night, my shadow goes in and out with me.
He reflects a purpose with more than meets the eye.
He is like my twin brother from head to toe.
He acts like a monkey.
Very much of monkey see, monkey do.
He sometimes quickly goes from being shorter or taller than me.
He is like my reflection through the day and night.
He reflects my actions, but lacks to reflect every emotion.
From the many joys in life.
To the main pains and sorrows in life.
