“It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.” – Psalm 118:8 (NKJV)
Many people today are concerned about the future of our nation. Will we reopen the first week of May or not? How bad are the economic impacts going to be both short term and long term? How many more new cases of this virus? How many more deaths?
While I do not know exactly how things will play out, one thing is for sure, and that is we must not give too much of our attention to all the doom and gloom.
We should take the advice of the CDC and our leaders regarding the situation at hand. However, we can not place that above our trust in the Lord.
I myself am not losing sleep over what is happening and what is going to take place tomorrow, a week from now, or years from now. There are always going to be political battles and conspiracy theories every day until the very end.
I read the Bible and it is safe to conclude that our victory is in Jesus Christ! Put your faith in Him today. Pray for our leaders, even though we might disagree with them, pray for them! Pray for this nation. This nation has had a plague in it for years far beyond when I was born, and that plague is SIN. This land needs revival. I’m not talking about the circus that is put on by motivational speakers, I’m talking about the true power of the Holy Spirit, that will convict and lead people to true Salvation.
There are so many people who do not know Jesus, and there are many people who have not been properly taught the Gospel. Too often in America, the Gospel gets mixed with the American Dream. The two do not even go together or belong together. Being a true Christian must take priority before the things of our American culture.
I pray that God heals this land and that there is revival like we have never seen before!
