- John the Baptist was the forerunner for Jesus Christ
- He was getting people ready to accept Jesus and to tell them about Him.
- He was filled with the Holy Spirit; this is how he was able to fulfill his ministry.
- Ephesians 3:16-19: Paul said we are to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
- We need the Holy Spirit to be able to minister to others.
- We are all called to witness to others, we need the Holy Spirit to do this.
