Too often people only read the Bible with a self-centered mindset. People will promptly dive into Scripture to gain something for themselves with only selfish ambitions, rather than a Kingdom mindset. Too often when reading the Word of God, we only care about the parts that benefit us in the now, rather than the full picture of the Full Gospel that is shown from Genesis to Revelation. Our purpose each time we read the Word of God ought to be to learn about the Author, and to continually cultivate an intimate relationship with the Word of God as it transforms us each time we read it, study it, and meditate upon it.
